There was a time when companies would stand behind their products. There was also a time when appliances would last more than a year. We bought this fridge March of 2025 and the ice maker stopped working in March of 2026. By the time I realized it was actually not making ice, and tried various remedies, it was April. Well, the agent I chatted with showed no mercy or interest in dealing with me. I will not be purchasing Whirlpool products in the future. Not only has the quality plummeted, their character has as well. Shame on you. Such a disappointment!

Bought this late last year, snd it arrived with a visible dent on the front. 1 month later more dents appeared and a ripple effect on the front doors are visible when the sun shines on it. (something I didn't notice) Seems like the doors are made of tinfoil. Very cheap, the left handle is also now loose. The fridge has minimal use with 2 people!! Customer service was NO help at all. Whirpool was not what it once was.

The layout could have been better. The water filter takes up needed space, placing it between the crisper drawers would be a better location for it. The doors are a little short on space. I would rather have longer doors and a smaller freezer space. Though I™€™m not using it, having to open the fridge to use the water dispenser is not exactly energy efficient?

This is our third time purchasing this model. There was never anything wrong with the previous ones™€"we™€™ve simply moved several times and chose to replace the existing refrigerators with this same model each time. It™€™s a straightforward, no™€‘nonsense refrigerator without all the extra electronic features newer models include, and that™€™s exactly what we prefer. Fewer bells and whistles mean fewer things that can break. We™€™ve never owned a refrigerator with exterior water and ice dispensers that didn™€™t eventually have issues, so avoiding that setup has been a plus for us. What really keeps us coming back to this model is the ice maker. It has a generously sized ice tray, produces large cubes, and the overall storage layout is just right for our needs.

Had to replace LG in July and wanted a slightly smaller size but didn't have time to research. Like the LED lights and easy to set the temps. Don't like the fan noise being more loud and believe it may consume more electricity . Also hope the LED lights don't burn out as itbl will require a maintenance service call. Wish the full lower drawer in the upper fridge section was separated so only one French door needs to be opened to access contents. Like the upper freezer drawer...more robust than our previous fridge.

Great Features But The Icemaker Stopped Working

We bought this refrigerator in March 2025. Until a month ago I'd have given it 5 stars, but the icemaker stopped working in late November. It was still under warranty, so I called to have someone repair it, and they arrived in 2 days. The guy had the new icemaker, but since the replace filter light was on, he wouldn't fix it until it was replaced and we gave it 3 days to start producing ice. I replaced it that day, and 3 days later still no ice, so I called the company to have them repair it again. They no longer had the part and had to reorder it, and it took 3 weeks for it to come in. Today the icemaker was replaced and in under 8 hours it was producing ice again. I'm very disappointed that it broke less than a year after purchasing it and I worry that something else will go wrong. A Google search of the madel said that icemaker problems are common for it.

OK so far. One negative is that I don™€™t see any way that I can move the dividers in the freezer slide out tray. I would like to position them differently. Also, fingerprints and smudge marks DEFINITELY show up on the outside. This is my first experience with a stainless steel refrigerator, so something that I™€™ll have to get used to. Daily wiping off with a microfiber cloth.

I have had this fridge for a month or so and I love it. I had a side by side before and was always being attacked by frozen food when I opened the freezer. Now I feel safe getting out my food. I like that the ice and water are done inside instead of on the door. I love the big racks on the doors. They hold so much more and the amount of shelf space is like getting 2 extra shelves compared to our old fridge. I really needed this when the kids were at home! The only thing I would change is making the top long drawer in the fridge into 2 drawers so you don't have to open both doors to open that drawer. I am really loving this fridge!

This has been a huge upgrade over our previous fridge. My food is now kept cooled evenly, now more frozen items in the back of the fridge. After keeping the door open, it cools back down to normal operating temperature right away. The ice cubes always come Out perfect as well. It also looks amazing in our kitchen.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and love its storage space and functionality. I especially like the internal water dispenser; we can fill multiple glasses back-to-back and the water is still cold, unlike some that I've used in the past that dispense room temp water. The only complaint, and it is minor, is that we have to pay close attention when closing the doors, as they sometimes need an extra push at the end to firmly seal.

We like it so far. Works well, we love that you can easily see the temperature both set and actual. The vents being in the top center makes sense, so we don™€™t have to worry about blocking them, like our old one with the vents in the rear. Temperature control is steady and doesn™€™t fluctuate much. Minor complaints are; 1-Upper Doors don™€™t adjust on this model and 2- ice cubes fall out the back when we open the freezer door. Given the price on this model we aren't disappointed. Thank you for making a reliable frig. We have only had a few weeks but so far so good. We choose the 25.2 cf because we have a smaller kitchen and the counter depth models were too expensive and smaller. Like all the extra room not having an in the door ice maker frees up. The noise some complain about , isn™€™t bad at all. It™€™s a slightly higher then our old frig, but unless your residence is completely quiet, it™€™s hardly noticeable, also the frig cycles on and off so it doesn™€™t run all the time.

Needed a new French door style fridge and decided to go top fridge/ bottom freezer (we have a garage freezer) and am so glad we did instead of the split side by side style. It feels luxurious opening both doors and having so much space inside! And still having ice and water but not losing interior space is such a plus! I love how functional the drawers are and that you can fit gallon sized jugs in BOTH doors! Absolute love my new fridge and highly recommended it!

I love my new refrigerator, only issue I have is the doors and drawer dont always close all the way. The top doors have an alarm, the bottom drawer does not, everything in my freezer was covered in frost. We double check it now, but I worry it will happen again.

Poorly and inefficiently designed

The water dispenser on the inside is very inefficient. To fill a pitcher with water the door has to remain open for over a minute and a half, while holding the door open while having to dispense water with two hands. With a shoulder injury and arthritis this painful and difficult. The half size ice cube tray is all the way in the back of the bottom freezer drawer making bending down and reaching in to get ice cubes difficult. also, in order to get items out of the coldcut drawer both refrigerator doors need to be opened. it is a very poorly designed refrigerator.

Refrigerant Leak and Whirlpool refuses to replace

We got a lemon! Within weeks of receiving, the fridge started warming up. Someone came out to look at it who™€™s with their warranty department (we paid extra for the better warranty!) and they said it™€™s a refrigerant leak, the worst thing that could be wrong. It™€™s going to take at least another month to fix our brand new fridge. I called whirlpool and they will absolutely not replace under any circumstances! I regret our purchase and am pretty livid at whirlpool.

We bought our frig last month. Overall, we like it. The one drawer isn't as deep and as big as our last frig, but I will get used to it. Our last frig made by you guys lasted 19 years!! I love the stainless steel look. Last one was white.
